Who am I? Always an interesting thing to ponder! Shall I validate my 'work' with labels and credentials? Nah. This is my value... I was always a nature baby, completely at ease and happiest outdoors...a lover of animals, mountains, deserts, water, stones and crystals...that's who I am. And that's what forms the template, the underlying inspiration for this site.
The love of stones and crystals sneaks up on you....you collect shells at the beach as a child, pick up cool stones, or notice neat shapes in the mountain boulders. Before you know it, you've got a growing family of crystals and minerals in the house and piles of rockhounded raw beauties all around outside.
I began learning about energy fields and healing with crystals years ago. Though I had worked in the medical field for 35 years, the satisfaction that came with this new understanding stimulated me to create the life I live now, free to explore within nature and within myself, Free Spirit. Being around the stones and crystals helped in my own healing, so then I was able to expand my energy work with others.
As I continued to learn about myself, I rediscovered my cards. My favorites then were the Motherpeace round tarot deck that I have had for many years, the Ascended Masters oracle deck and the sacred geometry deck, Techniques for Geometric Transformation. And now the collection has grown to at least 8 different decks that I choose from. My own daily readings evolved into a very simple, yet complete picture by intuiting from 3 cards from 3 different decks. So I tried this with friends. The results were awesome, and they all loved it. When I did readings for friends and family at a distance, there was even more clarity! There's more information about how I use the cards on the Intuitive Card Reading page.
As my intuition and confidence grew, I began to combine readings with in person self healing sessions, which already included crystals and stones as well as frosted quartz crystal bowl,Tibetan singing bowls and tuning forks. But how could I expand the experience and share this with more people?
I had begun working with doTERRA essential oils and was beginning to connect the dots between the vibrational qualities of the different oils with those of the crystals and stones. So started another part of my learning which I'm excited to share with you as well.
And then one day....I rediscovered ASMR! Do you experience that tingling feeling that radiates through your brain and down your neck and causes deep relaxation when someone whispers to you, or pays close attention to a task in a quiet manner? How about with certain sounds such as tapping or clinking stones together, water sounds, smoothing fabric or many many other triggers? Here's a link to a study that's been done with some of us that experience that phenomenon termed Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.
Barratt EL, Davis NJ. (2015) Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR): a flow-like mental state. PeerJ 3:e851 https://doi.org/10.7717/peerj.851
And the following is from Wikipedia and explains it well, too!
Several scientists have posited that there may be similarities between ASMR and meditative or contemplative practice. For example, in May 2013 psychiatrist Michael Yasinski was reported to have said that ASMR may be similar to meditation in the way it helps individuals 'focus' and 'relax' helping to 'shut down' 'parts of the brain' 'responsible for stress and anxiety'. Subsequently, in June 2014, Carl W. Bazil, Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center and director of its Sleep Disorders Center, suggested that ASMR videos 'seem to be a variation on finding ways to shut your brain down' comparable to 'guided imagery, progressive relaxation, hypnosis and meditation'.
Meanwhile, the first peer-reviewed article on ASMR based on a scientific experiment, conducted at Swansea University by psychologists Nick Davis and Emma Barratt, suggests that the subjective experience of ASMR might compare to the state of 'flow' identified by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi as the condition of fully concentrating on and being completely absorbed in the present activity or situation to such a degree that nothing else seems to matter.
Many of those who experience ASMR report that some specific non-vocal ambient noises are also effective triggers of ASMR, including those produced by fingers scratching or tapping a surface, the crinkling and crumpling of a flexible material such as paper, and the sound of a pen writing on card. Many intentional ASMR videos posted to YouTube capture a single person performing these actions and their subsequent sounds.
Here's the link to my ASMR channel...
I found that this fits so perfectly with what I was already doing with my healing facilitation, the oracle cards and crystals and so I am now offering these recorded readings in ASMR audio style. Recorded with binaural mics with a focus on exquisite quality, you can request a normal speaking voice, soft spoken ear to ear or whisper ear to ear sound. These personal ASMR recordings also include a few triggers such as tapping, page turning and cards sounds of course!
This is how Crystal Energy Creation was born...and will continue to evolve as we co-create and learn from one another.
Welcome from my Heart!
